Turkey in Pictures

"We're leaving on a jet plane. . . "

First thing we did upon getting to our hotel: sleep.

The fall colors were fantastic.:)

Cool Turkish top demonstration.

Heading into the Blue Mosque

Look at that happy, smiling face

The Hagia Sophia

It was chilly, and the cheese breadish sandwiches were warm and tasty.

said sandwiches being made.

POPCORN! No, we didn't have any, but it was neat to watch him making it over the little heater.

Yes, we got the flower wreaths, and yes, we had to take like a million shots of this before we were even remotely satisfied that we looked acceptable.:)

Just like buses in Baku (not really)

That would be Pizza Hut, in case you can't see the little label.

YUM!

My little room on the roof of our first hotel. Very chilly, yet extremely cool.

"Llama faaacceee" (watch "The Emperor's New Groove" for appropriate intonation): it was our mantra. This was the second of MANY hours in the car.

Did they all stay in that room? No! Fantastic, much larger room which I didn't take a picture of was where they actually stayed. This is where they thought they would need to stay (with several people piled on the floor). God provided a beautiful place to stay just because.:)

That would be the bee I captured in the cup while it was chilling inside the shoe. Don't worry, no bees were harmed in the taking of this picture.:)

The Aegean Sea!

Assos

"Let us in; let us in!"

Wait, were we in Turkey or Mexico? Definitely Turkey!

Can you see the puppy?

Now can you see the puppy?:)

Ice cream!

Yes, there were Harleys there

"I'm here!"

It was cold!

Tide pool

Tide pool #2

Enjoying the tide pool

Warming up after the tide pools.:)

Pergamum

"What could be down these stairs?"

Only the world's steepest amphitheater! This is the first time I've been in an amphitheater where I felt that if I didn't pay close attention to where I was stepping I might trip and fall off the side of a mountain. It was incredible!

Imagine watching a play here!

ancient statues

"I ripped it! Oopps!"

Building Z

Ok, so Ephesus. Where should we go?

Beautiful family!:)

Take a second look at that!

The Library

"Can I change the channel? Not much is happening on this one."

Talk about PUBLIC toilets!

Ok, so apparently you can find every letter in the Greek alphabet in this symbol. It was carved into the road. Good luck!

"What hole in the wall place did you crawl out of?"

The "little" ampitheater

Geronimo!!!!

Smile!

3 smiles

The guardian of the sinks.

There you have it!:)
