Yes, I am still alive.:) Yes, I do realize that it's been nearly 3 months since the last time that I posted on here And, yes, I do plan to turn over a new leaf and be much more faithful about posting.:) That being said, on to the real serious stuff. Someone recently told me that I have only about 2 weeks left here in the States before heading back "home." CRAZY! So, with that in mind, I thought that you might want to know some of the things I have been missing about my new home while on my summer travel adventures (which I might write more about later - they were fanstastic!:)). This is the list that I have so far (not necessarily in any particular order).
10. I miss my morning walk to school when the city is just starting to wake up.
9. I miss the smell and clean feel of my house right after it's been cleaned.
8. I miss Monday night dinners with friends.
7. I miss being able to flag down a bus in order to get somewhere (and not having to pay for gas!:))
6. I miss playing Ticket to Ride on a regular (perhaps semi-addicted) basis.
5. I miss Sunday afternoons in home group.
4. I miss my kids.
3. I miss walking into the corner market and seeing the faces of the ladies who work there light up!
2. I miss hanging out with the special people God has brought into my life there.
1. I miss cooking for myself and washing my own dishes (JUST KIDDING!:) I have been spoiled beyond measure by my family here, and I couldn't think of a number 10 so thought I'd throw this one in to see if you're still paying attention. Did I get you?:))
So, Baku, prepare yourself cause I'm coming home soon, LW!

So glad we got to see you this summer - but we're very glad for how God has led you to Baku :)
